Office Hours

Our office is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We are closed every weekend and every Wednesday. We know that your time is important, and we work to ensure that your visit happens as professionally and quickly as possible.

Appointments

Emergency Appointments: In addition to scheduled appointments, we also offer walk-in services for emergency patients. Walk-ins are welcome anytime during our normal office hours for emergency care. While we cannot guarantee that walk-in patients can be seen the same day, we do everything in our power to help emergency/walk-in patients as our schedule permits.

Insurance and Billing

If you have dental insurance, you undoubtedly have questions about how to access your benefits. The first thing you need to determine is whether or not you are in an HMO (health maintenance organization). HMO's require you to go only to their doctors. If you go elsewhere  under your HMO, they will not pay your benefits, so it is important to determine this first. If, like most people, you have private insurance through your employer, you can go to any dentist you want to. Your private insurer may encourage you to visit a participating dentist, who has an existing contract with your insurance company and has agreed to a table of maximum allowable charges. Your employer can provide you with a list of participating dentists in your area. These lists are often outdated, however, so we have listed the names of the insurance companies we participate in.

  • Aetna Dental Fund
  • Aetna PPO
  • Altus Dental Inc.
  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield of RI or MA
  • Blue Cross and Blue Shield FEP (Federal Employees Program)
  • Delta Dental of RI
  • Delta Dental USA Preferred
  • Delta Dental USA Plus Premier
  • Delta Dental USA PPO
  • Delta USA Tricare Retirees Program
  • Dentegra
  • Metlife
  • United Concordia/Assurant

If you have private insurance and don't see your company listed here, then Dr. Kehew would be considered a non-participating provider. In that case, you can still be seen here as a patient, and you would be billed for the difference, if any, between what your insurance company pays and Dr. Kehew's fees. As a service to our patients we will estimate your copayments for you to the best of our ability.

Patients without insurance are also welcome at our office. Any new patient without dental insurance is required to pay a $100 deposit prior to your first appointment. For patients interested in financing your dental care, we accept Visa, Mastercard and Care Credit (see CareCredit.com for details).

Payment Options

You can pay for your office visits and any treatments by cash, check, or credit card (credit card use incurs a 4% surcharge), at the time of treatment. We also accept most major dental insurances. To discuss your payment options or insurance coverage, please call (401) 847-4570
